Perhaps you recognise yourself in this…

You go full throttle, but your energy runs out

You have so many tasks that you try to finish them at all costs. You run at full speed during the day, but by evening you are completely drained.

Your attention is split between too many things

You work all day, but jumping between tasks costs you focus. It is hard to tell what really has priority.

When things go wrong, you increase the pressure

When things do not go to plan, you push yourself or others harder. Instead of more efficiency, you get tension, fatigue or resistance.

High standards cost you too much energy

Quality and responsibility matter to you. But you do not always notice in time when your commitment supports you and when it starts to wear you out.

You know what you want, but holding your intention is hard

Sometimes you give up on your intention too quickly. At other times you try to force the result even though your approach is not working.

You take responsibility for others too

Delegating or giving others space can be difficult. You tend to check, correct or simply do things yourself.

You want to communicate clearly without sounding harsh

Sometimes you soften your request so much that it is no longer clear. Or you spend a long time explaining and justifying why you need something.

You are looking for a balance between leading and giving space

You want to trust people and support their independence. At the same time you need to keep a clear direction, expectations and accountability.

If you recognised yourself in at least one of these situations, an experience with a horse can show you what supports your performance and where your energy drains away unnecessarily.

What you can develop through the experience with a horse

A horse responds to the way you act directly and without judgement. This lets you discover what works for you and try other ways of acting in practice.

Focus and working with attentionYour attention decides where your energy goes.

With a horse you quickly notice whether you are truly present or your attention is scattered. You train the ability to focus on one task, notice changes and bring your attention back to what matters right now. This helps you set priorities at work and use your energy more effectively. Working with a horse, you can notice what already comes naturally to you – such as calm, decisiveness, sensitivity, good timing or the ability to build trust. The horse’s response helps you see these strengths in a real situation, become more aware of them and use them confidently at work, in business or when leading people.

Handling stress, pressure and your own energyStress and pressure do not have to determine how you act.

You learn to recognise in time what happens to you under stress and pressure, and when you start to speed up, push or lose patience. You try out how to adjust your energy, pace and approach without losing direction. This helps you handle demanding situations and prevent long-term exhaustion.

Clear intention, decisiveness and consistencyKeeping direction does not mean pushing harder and harder.

Working with a horse, you find out whether you know what you want to achieve, can express your intention clearly and hold it even when the first attempt does not work. You learn to change your approach without losing direction – to be consistent without unnecessary pressure on yourself or others.

Clear communication and boundariesOthers can only follow what is clear to them.

A horse responds to the way you deliver your request. You discover whether your communication is really clear and whether your actions match what you want to say. You practise clear requests, healthy boundaries and the ability to say “not like this” without aggression or over-justifying.

Leading without unnecessary control and better delegationA good leader knows when to lead and when to give space.

You try out when to take the lead, when to support the next step and when to step back and give the other space. This experience helps you distinguish leading from controlling and supports better delegation, trust and independence in the people you work with. A horse gives you immediate feedback on the way you act. You learn to observe the result without blaming yourself or others, take responsibility and adjust your approach. This lets you respond more calmly to mistakes, changes and situations that do not go to plan.

Knowing is one thing. Experiencing it first-hand is another.

We often have more than enough information and advice on how to communicate better, handle pressure or lead people. The real challenge comes the moment we need to use it.

Here you get the space to turn theory into your own experience. In a real situation with a horse you notice how you react, what comes naturally to you and what changes when you try a different approach. For example, the difference it makes when you slow down and clarify your intention instead of increasing the pressure.

Nobody can take your own experience away from you. You take away concrete moments you can return to during a difficult conversation, a decision or when leading others. And in the online reflection after 14 days we connect what you experienced with what you are managing to use in everyday practice.

Who the experience is for

The experience is for you if:

  • you want to improve how you function at work or in business,
  • you are looking for practical experience, not more theory,
  • you are open to feedback and a new perspective,

  • you want to stay in the role of a listener only,
  • you are looking for a quick fix without your own involvement,
  • you are not ready to look at the way you act.

Feedback

Self-discovery with horses

The weekend with horses was an intense experience and a bundle of incredible moments. I am taking away small realisations that I can keep developing.

Combined with other impulses and journaling, I am gradually clarifying where I want to head, what to keep and what to let go of. I am taking small steps and opening up topics I want to explore.

Martin

What stayed with me most from the self-discovery with horses was the ability to return to the present moment. In demanding situations at work I can now calm down and ground myself faster. Maybe I also believe in myself a bit more.

I have also started exercising regularly in the morning again, which I had not been able to return to for a long time. And the shared reflection call brought me further encouragement and energy to keep going.

Jitka

After the experience with horses I notice my automatic reactions more. At work I have started delegating tasks that I used to have a tendency to do all by myself. It is new for me and I am still learning to let go of control.

During a demanding conversation with a client I also noticed that I was calmer than usual. The situation did not throw me off balance so much. Not everything comes to me right away, but I can see a concrete shift.

Adriana

It hit me how much I push everything by force, according to the expectations of my surroundings, work and society. I had completely lost touch with what I want myself. I use the techniques that help me maintain this awareness every single day.

Barbora Kovářová

You can read piles of books about leading people, but here you really experience it in your own skin. I understood what my surroundings were reflecting back to me, and now big changes are coming — in a positive direction!
