Self-discovery and leadership with horses

What can you learn about yourself when a horse answers you?

Experience personal growth in a way that doesn't stop at thinking about it. In direct contact with a horse, you'll discover how you communicate, how you come across to others, and what naturally builds trust, respect, and cooperation.

What you try out with the horse, we'll translate together into situations from work, business, relationships, and everyday life.

What self-discovery with horses is

An experience where you can see, feel, and immediately try out something new.

During a self-discovery session with horses, you get a simple and safe task. For example, you might ask a horse to walk with you, stop, or follow a certain direction.

It's not about completing the task perfectly. What matters is what you discover along the way: how clearly you express your intent, how you react to the horse's response, and what changes when you adjust your approach.

The horse reacts instantly. That lets you notice the difference between what you want to communicate and how you actually come across. You can try out a new way right away and experience its result.

How it works

You don't need to understand horses to understand yourself better thanks to them.

Most people who come to me have no previous experience with horses. So you don't need to know anything beforehand. Everything happens from the ground, without riding, and with respect for your pace, your needs, and how close to the horse feels comfortable for you.

Each session combines conversation, clearly explained theory, and hands-on experience. The theory part helps you understand the topic. Then, through simple practical exercises with the horse, you can gain new insights about yourself and better understand how you communicate, decide, and affect those around you.

The horse we work with is well prepared and familiar with this kind of session. I'll guide you safely through the whole experience, and together we'll connect it to what you can use in your everyday life.

Why horses specifically

Because you don't have to overanalyze their reaction.

A horse doesn't know your job title, your achievements, or the story you tell about yourself. It senses how present, clear, and trustworthy you are right in that moment.

It doesn't judge you or decide what's right or wrong about you. Through its reaction, it simply shows you how your way of communicating affects it. That creates space for curiosity, experimenting, and discovery, without long deliberation over whether you're doing it right.

Practical benefit

What you can carry into everyday life

Everyone takes something different away from the session. Working with horses can help you better understand and develop things like:

  • say clearly what you want and don't want, without harshness or unnecessary compromise,
  • make a decision and stop second-guessing whether you chose right,
  • notice when you're pushing yourself or others too hard, and try out what might work better,
  • clearly express what you need from others and find a shared way of working together that makes sense for both sides,
  • stay calmer when someone disagrees or reacts differently than you expect,
  • recognize when to persist and when to change your approach instead,
  • better sense how your words, tone of voice, and behavior come across to others.

You won't leave with just information about yourself. You'll take with you a real experience you can return to during an important conversation, a decision, leading a team, or in personal relationships.

Who this experience is for

For people who like to grow mainly through practice.

Self-discovery with horses can be valuable for you if:

  • you enjoy getting to know yourself and discovering new connections,
  • you want to not just understand personal growth but actually experience it,
  • you communicate, collaborate with, or lead other people,
  • you want to build more confidence, clarity, and calm at home and at work,
  • you're simply curious what contact with a horse can show you.

You can come with a specific question or just out of curiosity. There's no need to prepare a topic in advance or know exactly what you should take away.

Who will guide you

Martina Pražáková · guide to practical self-discovery

I help people turn insight into real experience.

In my work, I combine clearly explained theory, practical questions, body awareness, simple exercises, and the immediate feedback of horses.

I know it's not enough just to know how we'd like to communicate, decide, or lead others. We need to safely try out a new way and find out what it feels like when it actually works for us.

I create an environment where you don't have to prove or perform anything. Next to the horse, you can observe, experiment, ask questions, and find the way that's natural for you.

Participants' experiences

What people took away from sessions with horses

You can read piles of books about leading people, but here you really experience it in your own skin. I understood what my surroundings were reflecting back to me, and now big changes are coming — in a positive direction!

More theory isn't enough

I always thought I had to push harder and work harder to get things moving. But with the horses I realized that what holds me back most is my own inner tension. The moment I calmed down inside, the horse suddenly moved willingly on its own. If this appeals to you, you have to experience it. Thank you so much for everything.

Pavel Kotvičný

Pressure and inner tension

Horses really don't lie. Within a minute it showed me that even though I come across as confident on the outside, inside I doubt myself terribly. The whole program helped me stop fearing vulnerability and turn it into a driving force. Thank you so much. I see a huge impact after the retreat.

Jana Halamíčková

Confident outside, doubting inside

The whole retreat flowed with ease and freedom, and the most powerful thing for me was learning to set boundaries for myself and others. What I experienced during the retreat — I know how to carry it into real life too.

Anna Basaglia Kohoutová

Boundaries in real life

Martina doesn't pretend to be anyone she isn't. She radiates strength but isn't afraid to show her own fragility too. The horses helped me understand everything and realize who I truly am and how I can keep working with myself. I discovered that I don't want to change. I want to stay exactly who I am, stand firmly behind my own worth, and not be afraid to show it to the world.

Silva Staňková

Authenticity and self-worth

I arrived after years of therapy feeling like I was doing everything right, and yet nothing was changing. During the retreat, more happened than in the past two years. Within moments, the horse showed me a pattern I had been carrying inside me for twenty years.

Two ways to experience it

Choose how much space you want to give your experience.

Each option is built on the same principle: your own experience, feedback from the horse, and a practical link to your life. They differ in how private they are, how long they last, and the option to build on previous sessions.

Individual session of a participant with a horse

Individual 1:1 session with a horse

When you want space and attention just for yourself.

One individual session lets you experience working with a horse at your own pace. You can come with a specific question, a decision to make, or simply because this experience appeals to you.

3-day retreat with horses

When you want to step out of your usual pace for a while and stay in this experience longer.

Three days together give you space to slow down, be more intensely present, work with horses repeatedly, and let each experience gradually fall into place. It also includes sharing and inspiration within a small group, nature, and time for yourself.

Good to know

There's no riding involved, and no experience is needed.

No, you don't. I'll explain everything you need and guide you the whole time.

That's completely fine. We'll start at a distance and pace where you feel safe. I won't push you into anything.

No. All the work happens from the ground.

No, you don't. You can come with a specific question, but simply out of curiosity works too. The experience can naturally unfold from what happens during the session with the horse.
